Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR®) is a business process used to create collaborative relationships between buyers and sellers through co-managed processes and shared information.
By implementing CPFR® entities in a supply chain can collaborate on a number of buyer/seller functions to achieve efficiencies in the supply chain. CPFR® is closely tied with similar efforts which have preceded it such as ECR, Quick Response and VMI.
The CPFR® business model supports the exchange of electronic business documents using eXtensible Markup Language (XML). These business documents are those created and supported by EAN.UCC and have been approved by the global community.
DGI has tested products for their ability to exchange and process EAN.UCC CPFR® XML Standard Schemas Version 1.1 securely through AS2 in accordance to the EAN.UCC technical guidelines.
