Surveillance Coordinator

Description of duties:

The Surveillance Coordinator will serve in a project management role for ongoing surveillance responsibilities, as well as oversee new initiatives under Drummond's ONC Surveillance Funding Award, Certified Health IT Surveillance Capacity and Infrastructure Improvement Cooperative Agreement (NAP-AX-17-003). These responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Triage, document and coordinate investigation of incoming complaints
  • Compile and submit surveillance reports to ONC
  • Coordinate all surveillance-related testing
  • Develop and execute end user surveillance surveys
  • Coordinate end user and Developer Interoperability Subcommittees
  • Develop marketing and end user education on in-the-field surveillance

Education and Qualifications:

Drummond is seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare compliance, at least 3 years of experience in project or account management and at least three years of experience in a healthcare setting or compliance role. An advanced degree, PMP certification or compliance certification (CHC) is preferred. The individual must be a self-starter with proven analytical and organization skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

Surveillance Technical Lead

Description of duties:

The Surveillance Technical Lead will assist in determining technical conformity on end user complaints and surveillance testing, as well as serve as the driving force for the development of interoperability surveillance tools tools related to Drummond’s ONC Surveillance Funding Award, Certified Health IT Surveillance Capacity and Infrastructure Improvement Cooperative Agreement (NAP-AX-17-003).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Conduct in-the-field review with end users and surveillance testing with health IT developers
  • Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of new interoperability surveillance tools
  • Assess complaints and surveillance testing to determine certified product conformance
  • Serve as the technical lead on the Drummond Group Surveillance Committee

Education and Qualifications:

Drummond Group is seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related degree and at least 3 years of technical experience in EHR or the privacy/security market. Experience in ONC health IT testing and certification criteria is preferred. The individual should be experienced in managing product development activities and comfortable with varying software development methodologies. This individual must work well autonomously in a remote setting and still remain connected and responsive to the larger project team.

Quality Coordinator

Description of duties:

Maintains and updates both the Quality systems for both the Test Lab (ISO/IEC 17025) and the Certification Body (ISO/ISE 17025). Includes continuous reviews and updates for process improvements and to comply with change in regulations and direction from scheme owners.

As part of these duties, the Quality Coordinator:

  • Establishes and manages required regular internal audits and management reviews of both quality systems.
  • Coordinates registration “bridge” from testing to the certification body, handing off enrolled products to proctors and sending out certification documentation to clients.
  • Serves as backup for Certification Body Manager and CHPL Administrator as needed.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least 3 years’ experience in quality assurance. Familiarity with the ONC Health IT Certification Program and/or ISO/IEC 17065 and 17025 a plus. Relevant work experience above 3 years will be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to see the big picture, seeking solutions to QMS issues that arise and actively watching for ways to continually improve processes to benefit team members and clients while remaining in compliance to accreditations. This job requires a self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision, in a remote setting, and still remain connected and responsive to the larger team.
