* Optional Profiles:
CEM
Certificate Exchange Messaging is an IETF I-D for the automation of exchanging digital certificates within EDI-INT applications, primarily AS2. CEM allows you to securely exchange digital certificates which are due to expire, load them and switch over without the massive effort of coordinating the manual switching of certificates between trading partners.
MA
Multiple Attachment capability is the ability to transfer multiple documents within a single AS2 message. This feature may be useful for any industry, but it is extensively used by PIDX.
FN
Filename Preservation is based on an IETF open standard http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-harding-filename-preservation-00.txt, Filename Preservation is a method for preserving the filename associated with a payload as provided in the Content-Disposition MIME header [RFC 2183].
FN-MA
Filename Preservation for Multiple Attachment (MA) messages as well
FN-MDN
Refers to the Filename preservation WITH an associated MDN error or warning response notification. Some banks were interested in software that provided an MDN response, therefore a distinction was made for the buyers
Reliability (Phase 1)
The AS2 Reliability Profile addresses duplicate message elimination and standardizes mechanisms for retrying and resending.
Phase One - AS2 Reliability testing in the AS2-3Q07 test round will ONLY focus on reusing "same AS2 message" as originally packaged and attempted be retried or resent This implies the MessageID as originally provided will also be reused and allows the receiving side to detect duplicate messages based on the MessageID and eliminate."
