Drummond Group, LLC, the trusted provider of interoperability and security testing for B2B and B2G software, announced today the successful completion of its 2026 AS4 interoperability test event. Six products across four vendors demonstrated conformance with AS4 specifications: Axway, CData Software, Cleo, and IBM Corporation.
Drummond’s AS4 testing evaluates conformance with the AS4 specification across a comprehensive test matrix. Products tested included Axway B2Bi 2.6 and Activator 6.1, CData Arc 26.3.9678.0, Cleo Integration Cloud (Cleo LexiCom, Cleo VLTrader, and Cleo Harmony version 6.0), IBM DataPower Gateway V11.0, IBM webMethods B2B module for AS4 10.1, and IBM webMethods B2B SaaS 11.2.80. All products successfully tested over both HTTP and HTTPS connections, demonstrating interoperability across communication protocols.
Drummond’s test methodology incorporates InSitu, a proprietary full-matrix framework that automates test case execution while reducing the coordination burden on participants. This approach allows vendors to concentrate on debugging their implementations rather than managing test logistics. Participants new to the program receive comprehensive technical support from Drummond throughout the pre-certification phase, ensuring products meet InSitu requirements before formal testing begins.
The certification process builds on proven regression testing methodology. Each test event executes multiple automated cases against live implementations, uncovering interoperability issues before products reach production. This approach protects vendors’ customers by confirming that certified products work reliably across AS4 deployments.
