Leeanne Sanders

Director Interoperability
Program Management

Leeanne serves as Director of Program Management – Interoperability, overseeing the FHIRplace program and leads interoperability initiatives at the forefront of health data exchange. Her career spans more than a decade at the intersection of IT and healthcare, with experience across EHR development, claims management, insurance operations, and data quality—on both the clinical and operational sides of health IT.

That breadth shapes how she works. Leeanne has built the kind of cross-domain knowledge that makes complex, multi-year programs cohere: translating technical requirements into clear business outcomes, keeping cross-functional teams aligned, and developing the methodologies that make large-scale implementations repeatable.

Leeanne holds a Master of Science in Information Technology Leadership from Walsh College and a Bachelor of Science in Health from Michigan State University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys life in Michigan with her husband and four children, where she embraces the joys of family life.
