Expansion of Drummond Advisory Services (DAS)
One year ago, the Drummond Advisory Services (DAS) program was launched to assist new and existing clients with compliance activities to save time and reduce costs in developmental efforts for certifications. Expanding on our successful program that provided customers with Real World Testing (RWT) plans in 2021, DAS has positioned additional offerings to assist clients with the convergence of compliance requirements in 2022. More recently, our team has begun assisting customers planning to adopt the new §170.315 (g)(10) Standardized API for Patient and Population Services outlined in the ONC’s Health IT Information Program.You are invited to attend a DAS webinar at 1 p.m. (CT), Tuesday, May 3, and discover options addressing RWT and (g)(10) API criteria requirements. Compliance Support for 170.315(g)(10)
As the deadline for compliance to the 170.315(g)(10) criterion nears for many developers, the new DAS program can assist your organization in building an API solution that fulfills the (g)(10) requirements and developing a long-term strategy for future API goals. Our program includes three services designed to be purchased separately or as one package.
- Getting Started is designed to help developers jumpstart their (g)(10) planning and implementation efforts beginning with a better understanding of the (g)(10) requirements for certification and the HL7®; FHIR® (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) v4 standard. This service includes expert guidance on requirements and readiness for certification, a test tool overview and assistance with a “build vs. buy” decision for developers unsure of a long-term strategy.
- Desktop Review is ideal for developers who have a pre-existing API and need assistance with upgrading and meeting the new ONC and FHIR® v4 requirements. It also may be useful for developers who want more detailed guidance on their design and implementation plan. This service includes a deeper dive into the standards, expectations and regulations related to (g)(10) certification, including their relationship to the new Information Blocking standards. We will provide guidance and interpretations for the (g)(10) criterion and the FHIR® v4 Implementation Guide.
- The Workbench Review is for customers who have commenced development of an API solution for compliance to the new (g)(10) criterion. DAS will provide support for installing and configuring the test tool, conduct multiple pre-test sessions with the developer and provide support for identifying gaps and interpreting results.
Real World Test (RWT) Plans
Building on our clients’ success creating Real World Testing (RWT) plans, DAS now offers three services to aid developers in ongoing compliance with RWT planning and reporting requirements set for this year and first quarter 2023. Our program includes three services designed to be purchased separately or as one package.
- 2022 Test Coordination is designed to provide developers with expert guidance on RWT preparation and project activities with templates to ensure test plan methods and metrics are well positioned and tracked for later reporting. We provide ongoing oversight and input throughout a client’s RWT project.
- 2022 Test Results Reporting assists developers with meeting the reporting requirements by providing organizational guidance for the test results, delivering a report template and authoring the test results report.
- 2023 Test Plan Writing (due this year) provides developers with hands-on guidance in drafting the annual RWT plan due to the Drummond ONC-ACB by Nov. 1. This can include addressing the ONC’s 21st Century Cures update criteria added to certification in 2022 – which must be included in 2023 test plans – as well as other exceptions and changes that may occur during 2022 RWT test execution or product changes.
MS Interoperability Final Rule Compliance
