Testing & certification discounts available

To help reduce delays in meeting the ONC’s 21st Century Cures Act Final Rule certification deadline this year, Drummond is offering the following discounts for a limited time – effective today – for eligible developers who choose to pre-pay the certification review fee or 170.315(g)(10) testing occurring in Q4 2022:

  • 10 percent discount for payments received by July 20
  • Five percent discount for payments received by Aug. 31

Our previous discount is also still available for eligible developers testing 170.315(g)(10). A 15 percent discount is available if testing this quarter or a 10 percent discount for testing 170.315(g)(10) in Q3 2022.

To enroll in the pre-pay discount, please contact our team at

ONC Cures updates required by December

Health IT developers must certify and deploy applicable Cures updates by Dec. 31, 2022, in order to avoid corrective action by the ONC. Developers unsure of meeting this deadline should consider removing the affected certified criteria in order to prevent any certification suspension or ban by the ONC.

Developers may attest to the new and revised Cures criteria with the exception of 170.315(g)(10) Standardized API for Patient and Population Services which requires a live test session. Attestation submissions and requests for 170.315(g)(10) testing may be done via the Drummond quarterly attestation process or by registering within our customer portal.

For more information, please visit the ONC Cures Rule page or contact us at

Exclusive compliance webinar now available

A pre-recorded webinar – 2022 Developer Compliance Webinar: Cures and Conditions of Certification – is now available exclusively for Drummond clients within our customer portal. The webinar discusses what developers are required to submit in 2022, Cures update requirements, information on new criteria 170.315(g)(10) Standardized API and 170.315(b)(10) EHI Export, and much more. Contact our support team at if login assistance is needed.

Real World Testing (RWT): Important dates

Drummond’s due date for Real World Testing (RWT) plans will be Nov. 1. Developers may start submitting plans on Sept. 1. Invoices for all RWT certification reviews also will be issued in September. An approved RWT plan and paid invoice are required for Drummond to post the developer’s plan to the ONC CHPL website before the compliance deadline. The due date for RWT results will be Feb. 1, 2023. More information will be distributed prior to this deadline.

Update: ONC has clarified developers should maintain one active URL that links to all RWT plans and results. If necessary, developers may resubmit a new URL to their ONC-ACB during the RWT plan submission period. Be sure to look out for the ONC’s upcoming RWT webinar which will include additional developer guidance. For additional ONC announcements, sign up for their newsletter via the ONC Certification of Health IT page.Attention ambulatory EHRs

New 2022 public health reporting rules for MIPS were published within the CMS Final Rule. Ambulatory EHRs are required to be health IT certified, at minimum, to these two public health measures unless they have a suitable exclusion:

  • 170.315(f)(1) Transmission to Immunization Registries
  • 170.315(f)(5) Transmission to Public Health Agencies — Electronic Case Reporting

These measures are expected to better prepare public health agencies for future health threats, help enable nationwide automated case reporting for fast public health response and increased visibility on immunization uptake and assist public health agencies in tailoring vaccine distribution strategies.

If your product is not already certified for these public health criteria, you can register for testing and certification via our customer portal or our website registration page.

Thank you, Drummond developers!

Drummond developers achieved 100 percent compliance to the attestation condition of certification! We thank all developers who attested to this new process by the required deadline and look forward to the next attestation period beginning Oct. 1.

As a reminder, it is imperative developers have accurate contact information on their CHPL listing(s). If any updates are needed to your ONC CHPL listing, please contact us at
